On 16 October, an introduction to Macao-related Foreign Legal and Multilateral Affairs, as the third session of the series of activities co-organized by the Commissioner's Office and the "Thousands Talents Union", was held at the Commissioner's Office. Counsellor Zhang Jian, director of International Organizations and Legal Affairs Department of the Office, was invited to give a thematic report, which attracted about 60 members of the “Thousand Talents Union”. Deputy Commissioner Wang Dong, officials from the Macao SAR government and Macao Foundation attended the event.
Using vivid stories, pictures and data, Counsellor Zhang gave a comprehensive and clear introduction to the work of Macao-related foreign legal and multilateral affairs and achievements made by the Commissioner’s office since Macao's return to the motherland. He pointed out that these achievements were made through full and faithful implementation of the policy of "one country, two systems" and " the people of Macao governing Macao " with a high degree of autonomy that is in strict accordance with the Nation’s Constitution and the Macao Basic Law. Counsellor Zhang also had warm interactions with attended members of "Thousand Talents Union".
The “Thousand Talents Union” members participated in the event said that they benefited a lot from the activity, as it not only helped them to understand the policy of "one country, two systems" and the Basic Law more comprehensively and deeply, but also further know better the function and work of the Commissioner's Office,especially in Macao-related foreign legal and multilateral affairs. They will continue to pay attention to Chinese diplomacy and Macao-related diplomacy and make their contribution to extend external relations of Macao SAR.
