On 31 October 2019, the final competition and award ceremony of the 10th Macao Youth Diplomatic Knowledge Contest, co-hosted by the Commissioner's Office and the Macao SAR government, was held at the Kao Yip Middle School. Commissioner Shen Beili and Mr. Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR government, Mr. Luo Yonggang, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, Mr. Liu Yunjun, Deputy Commander of the PLA Macao Garrison, Mr. Lou Pak Sang, Director of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR government, and other distinguished guests launched the event. Over 600 students and teachers from Macao middle schools were present.
Commissioner Shen Beili reviewed in her speech the accomplishment of the P.R.C. in the past 70 years and of the Macao SAR in the past 20 years, as well as the contribution to the country and the SAR made by the diplomatic front. Commissioner Shen encouraged the Macao youth to widen their horizon and serve better the role to connect Macao with the world.
Over 10,000 students from 33 local middle schools took part in the 10th Macao Youth Diplomatic Knowledge Contest. After 4 intense and exciting rounds in the final competition, Pui Ching Middle School won the champion, followed by Sheng Kung Hui Choi Kou School, Kao Yip Middle School, and Macau Fong Chong School.
