On 1 November 2019, the Youth English Debate on China-US Trade Friction was successfully held by the Commissioner's Office and the "Thousands Talents Union". Commissioner Shen Beili, Deputy Commissioner Wang Dong, officials from the Macao SAR government and Macao Foundation, and around 70 members of the "Thousands Talents Union" attended the event. Ms. Liu Xin and Mr. Ji Xiaojun, two famous anchors from CGTN, were invited to the event as special hosts.

The "Thousands Talents Union" and the Commissioner Office's arranged 3 debaters from each side to participate in the three rounds of debate. The audience also shared their comments and agreed that striking a mutually beneficial and win-win agreement serves the interests of China and the US and meets the expectations of the world.

In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Commissioner's Office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in Macao SAR, the Commissioner's Office, in cooperation with the Macao SAR government, organized series of visiting programs for the "Thousand Talents Union". Since late September, 5 different visiting programs were held at the Commissioner's Office and well received by the local youth.
