On 23rd June 2020, Commissioner Shen Beili met with Mr. Eduardo Velasco Galiano, the newly appointed Consul General of Angola in the Macao SAR, and presented him with the exequatur.
Commissioner Shen welcomed Mr.Galiano and congratulated him on taking up the new post. She spoke highly of the current China-Angola relations and the China-Africa friendship, especially the mutual support and understanding during the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. She also briefed the Consul General with the draft law on safeguarding national security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Commissioner Shen hoped the Consul General continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between the Macao SAR and Angola during his tenure.
Mr. Galiano thanked Commissioner Shen for her briefing and introduction, he said the Angolan government attached great importance to its relations with China, and the Consulate General would do its best to boost the practical cooperation between Angola and the Macao SAR.
