For the purpose of serving the Macao SAR through diplomatic work, from March 15th, with improvement of the epidemic situation, the Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR has resumed accepting the visa applications to the mainland of China of all categories for foreigners in the Macao SAR. In order to meet the growing demand of applications, the Office tried its best to increase the appointment numbers for applying for visas.

The recent epidemic situation in the mainland of China emerges grim. Several medium-high risk areas have been classified consecutively, among which, Guangdong province, closely connected to Macao, has the immediate impact to the SAR. In order to effectively prevent the spread of Covid-19 and ensure the safety of personnel and the overall stability of epidemic prevention, the Office calls on all foreigners in the Macao SAR to enhance and cooperate with Covid-19 prevention measures, as well as to reduce unnecessary cross-border travel.
