On 23rd July 2021, Commissioner Liu Xianfa received a courtesy call from Mr.Porfirio Maralit Mayo,Jr., the newly appointed Consul General of the Philippines in the Macao SAR, and issued him with the Exequatur.
Commissioner Liu welcomed Mr.Mayo and congratulated him on taking up the new post. He spoke highly of the development of China-Philippine relations. He also briefed the Consul General with the great achievements the Communist Party of China has achieved during its 100 years history , as well as the successfully implemented"one country, two systems", which was created and led by the Communist Party of China.Commissioner Liu also hoped to strengthen communication with the Consulate General, thus to further promote cooperation between the Macao SAR. and the Philippines in all fields during his tenure.
Mr.Mayo expressed his pleasure to become the new Consul General of the Philippines in Macao, and he said the Philippine government attached great importance to its relations with China. Mr. Mayo said the Consulate General would do its best to explore new ways to boost the practical cooperation between the Philippines and the Macao SAR.,and it was the sincere hope that the Consulate General continue to get support from the Commissioner’s office.
