Visa for Hong Kong SAR of China

According to the relevant provisions of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has the right to conduct exit and entry control affairs on its own. Immigration policies of the HKSAR are formulated by the HKSAR Government. Please refer to the website of the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong SAR (https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/visit-transit/visit-visa-entry-permit.html) for which country citizens need to apply for a visa to Hong Kong and how to apply for a visa. Those who need a visa to visit or transit through Hong Kong can apply for visas for Hong Kong SAR of China either to 1) The Consular Department of the Commissioner's Office of MFA of China in Macao SAR through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center or 2) directly to the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

The Commissioner's Office mainly accepts foreign nationals who hold Macao resident identity cards, non-local employee identification cards, and student ID cards. Applicants are advised to read carefully as follows:

1. Required materials

1.1 A valid passport or other international travel documents;

1.2 One filled in "Visa/Entry Permit Application Form";

1.3 A recent passport photo;

1.4 If necessary, other relevant information must be provided.

2. Processing time and fees

Regular processing (4 working days) fee is MOP240

For applications that need to be approved by the Hong Kong Immigration Department, an additional MOP150 contact fee is required, and the collection time will be notified separately.
