On July 5, the Commissioner's Office successfully held “Major-Country Diplomacy Empowers Macao Youth to Blossom on the International Arena” Open House Day. Commissioner Bian Lixin and Mr. Kong Chi Meng, Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, attended the event with more than 50 participants, including the Macao SAR youth representatives who had participated in the Macao Youth Diplomatic Knowledge Contest, Macao Universities Diplomatic Speech Contest, the UN Junior Professional Officer (JPO) program and young diplomats of the Commissioner's Office.

Focusing on the theme “The Story of My Bond with Diplomacy”, the youth representatives shared their experiences of participating in the public diplomacy activities held by the Commissioner’s Office and the UN JPO Program, which helped them expand their horizons and achieve sustainable development. They expressed their commitment to continuing hard working, striving to serve the motherland and Macao. Young diplomats of the Commissioner’s Office also shared their experience of fulfilling diplomatic duties. Their presentations were vivid and moving, drawing enthusiastic applause and creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Mr. Kong Chi Meng expressed his gratitude to the Commissioner's Office for long-standing support to Macao Youth's development, noting that the Education and Youth Development Bureau would continue to work closely with the Commissioner's Office to provide more opportunities for Macao youth to engage with international affairs and enhance their overall competence.

In her remarks, Commissioner Bian Lixin praised the youth representatives for participating public diplomacy activities organized by the Commissioner's Office and closely following China's Diplomacy. She hailed that these experiences not only strengthened their patriotism and national responsibility, but also improved their comprehensive abilities and helped them to realize personal dreams. The Commissioner's Office will continue to leverage diplomatic advantages to provide more opportunities and build better platforms for young people with aspirations and ambitions, assisting them in better utilizing their talents on the international arena.
