Commissioner Bian Lixin Calls on Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Ho Hau Wah

On February 4, the newly appointed Commissioner Bian Lixin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region, paid a courtesy call on Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Ho Hau Wah.

Commissioner Bian Lixin appreciated Vice Chairman Ho for his long-term support for the work of the Commissioner's Office. She said that the Commissioner's Office, based on its duties and functions, will continue to firmly safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, support Macao's strengthening of its international communication, and create favorable external environment for advancing the great cause of “one country, two systems”.

Vice Chairman Ho Hau Wah welcomed Commissioner Bian Lixin to assume office and spoke highly of the endeavors by the Commissioner's Office in promoting Macao's external exchanges and the development of appropriate economic diversification. He hoped that the Office would further leverage diplomatic resources to help Macao better integrate into and serve the overall development of the country.
