On February 11, the newly appointed Commissioner Bian Lixin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region, paid a courtesy call on Former Chief Executive, Mr. Ho Iat Seng.

Commissioner Bian Lixin appreciated Mr. Ho Iat Seng for his long-term support for the work of the Commissioner’s Office. She said that the Office will play a more active role in supporting Macao’s international cooperation and the promotion of the development of appropriate economic diversification, so as to create a favorable external environment for the long-lasting prosperity and stability of Macao.

Mr. Ho Iat Seng welcomed Commissioner Bian Lixin to assume office and spoke highly of the endeavor of the Commissioner’s Office. He hoped that the Office would make more contributions to strengthening Macao’s external exchanges and promoting the development of appropriate economic diversification.
