On February 12, the newly appointed Commissioner Bian Lixin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region, paid a courtesy call on President of the Court of Final Appeal , Ms. Song Man Lei.

Commissioner Bian spoke highly of contributions made by the Court of Final Appeal of Macao in upholding and improving executive-led governance, safeguarding judicial fairness, and maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of the Special Administrative Region. She stressed that the Commissioner's Office will perform its duties in accordance with the law, maintain close communication with the Court of Final Appeal, and actively support the Court of Final Appeal in carrying out external exchanges and cooperation.

Ms. Song Man Lei welcomed Commissioner Bian Lixin to assume office, and thanked the Commissioner's Office for its guidance and assistance in areas such as the court's external exchanges and cooperation. She expressed her willingness to strengthen communication with the Commissioner's Office to promote high-quality development of system of foreign-related rule of law in the Special Administrative Region.
