On February 13, the newly appointed Commissioner Bian Lixin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region, paid a courtesy call on Prosecutor General of the Public Prosecutions Office, Mr. Tong Hio Fong.

Commissioner Bian spoke highly of the contributions made by the Macao SAR Public Prosecutions Office in safeguarding national interests, supporting executive-led governance, promoting judicial cooperation, and maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of the SAR. She stressed that the Commissioner's Office will fulfill its duties in accordance with the law, maintain close communication with the Public Prosecutions Office, and actively support the Public Prosecutions Office's external exchanges and cooperation.

Mr. Tong Hio Fong welcomed Commissioner Bian Lixin to assume office, and thanked the Commissioner's Office for its guidance and assistance in areas such as the international judicial assistance cooperation. He expressed his willingness to strengthen communication with the Commissioner's Office to further expand international exchanges and cooperation in the judicial field of the SAR.
