On February 26, the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region hosted a welcome reception for Commissioner Bian Lixin. Chief Executive of the MSAR Sam Hou Fai, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Ho Hau Wah, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the MSAR Zheng Xincong and around 500 guests, including principal officials of the MSAR executive, legislative and judicial organs, representatives from the central authorities in Macao, consulates general accredited to Macao and Macao-based international organizations, attended the reception.  

Bian Lixin delivered remarks expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the MSAR Government and all sectors of Macao society for their long-term support for Macao-related diplomatic work. She said that the Commissioner’s Office, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, will take concrete actions to bring the work to a new level, making greater contributions to promoting Macao’s long-term prosperity and stability.

Sam Hou Fai congratulated Commissioner Bian Lixin on her assumption of office. He said that the MSAR Government will continue strengthening communication with the Commissioner’s Office, thereby continuously enhancing Macao’s international competitiveness and influence.
