Commissioner Bian Lixin met with Consuls General of Angola, Portugal, the Philippines, and Mozambique in Macao recently.


Commissioner Bian said that the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference have sent a clear signal of China's commitment to expanding high-standard opening-up. China stands ready to share opportunities with all countries and pursue common development. Macao is actively advancing the development of “One Center, One Platform and One Base”,and proactively aligning its own development with the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan by further building itself into a key platform for the country’s high-level opening-up and an important window for cultural exchange and mutual learning between Chinese civilization and Western civilization.
She hoped that Consuls General in Macao will fully leverage their role as a bridge to encourage individuals and businesses from all sectors to come to Macao for investment, business, and tourism,sharing the development opportunities Macao has to offer. The Commissioner's office will, as always, provide necessary support and assistance for Consuls General to perform their duties in accordance with the law.
Noting Macao's vibrant economic momentum and its rich convergence of diverse cultures, Consuls General expressed readiness to strengthen communication and exchange with the Commissioner’s Office and the Macao SAR Government, to promote cooperation in economy, trade, and people-to-people exchanges and achieve more solid results.
