Commissioner Bian Lixin Meets with Consul General of India in Hong Kong

On April 20,2026 Commissioner Bian Lixin met with Rajesh N. Naik, Consul General of India in Hong Kong.

Commissioner Bian congratulated Mr. Naik on his new appointment, noting that China's 15th Five-Year Plan provides greater development opportunities for countries worldwide, including India. She highlighted the close historical ties and people-to-people relations between Macao and India, suggesting significant potential for future cooperation. It's hoped that the Consul General will maintain close communication with the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of the Macao SAR, actively playing a bridging role to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and India in areas such as trade, culture, and tourism, and to advance Macao's development as " one center,one platform, one base."

Mr. Naik expressed his willingness to strengthen communication and exchanges between India and Macao in various fields, actively promoting more fruitful practical cooperation between the two sides.
