From May 11 to 14, the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macao and the Macao SAR Government jointly organized “2026 Consular Corps  Mainland Tour– Yunnan”. Deputy Commissioner Cheng Lei led a delegation of Consuls General and consular officials from 21 countries to Kunming and Dali. The leaders of Yunnan Province and Dali Prefecture respectively had in-depth exchanges with the delegation.

In Kunming, the delegation visited the Yunnan Ethnic Village, experiencing its diverse intangible cultural heritage. They also toured the Kunming International Flower Auction Center and the biotechnology company, expressing deep appreciation for the opening up of China's flower industry and the innovation of ethnic brands. In Dali, the delegation strolled along the Erhai Lake ecological corridor, praising the achievements in ecological governance. They visited the Tuocha Museum, learning about the ingenuity of intangible cultural heritage. They also visited Dali Ancient City and Xizhou Ancient Town,feeling their historical heritage and vibrant cultural tourism. During the visit to a dairy company, they experienced the innovative integration of plateau-characteristic agriculture and modern technology.

Consular officials expressed that the visit was very fruitful,and that they’re willing to actively promote cooperation between their countries and Yunnan and the Greater Bay Area in areas such as economy, trade, culture, tourism and ecology.
