On May 29, Commissioner Bian Lixin met with Ms. Lim Kim Suan, Consul General of Brunei in Hong Kong.

Bian introduced China’s 15th Five-year Plan and the achievements of both Macao and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. She hoped that the Consul General would seize the opportunity of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Brunei to continuously promote exchanges and cooperation between Macao and Brunei, and help elevate China-Brunei cooperation to a new high.

Lim said Brunei attached great importance to Macao’s unique advantages. She expressed willingness to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Macao SAR on economic diversification, education and tourism, so as to contribute to the development of Brunei-China relations.
