On September 10, Commissioner Bian Lixin met with Anatoly Kargapolov, Consul General of Russia in Hong Kong.
Bian noted that with the strategic guidance of our two leaders, the new-era comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between China and Russia continues to reach new heights. She spoke highly of the close historical ties and people-to-people exchanges between Macao and Russia, suggesting a significant potential for future cooperation. She highlighted that last month, the MSAR Government officially released the Third Five-Year Plan, opening broad prospects for the development of Macao and the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. She hoped that the Consul General will maintain close communication with the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of the Macao SAR, promoting deeper exchanges and cooperation between Macao and Russia in areas such as economy and trade, culture, and tourism, and achieving more practical outcomes.
Kargapolov said that Macao has achieved remarkable progress in advancing appropriate economic diversification and expressed his willingness to promote exchanges with Macao, further explore the potential for cooperation in various fields between the two sides, and continuously enhance the level of cooperation.
